Pre-production plan

Video & photo shoots
The expensive mistake with a shoot is not the day rate. It is finishing with forty beautiful images and nothing that works as a vertical video, then booking a second shoot two months later to fill the gap.
We plan shoots backwards from the content calendar. Before anything is booked we work out what the next quarter needs to look like — how many vertical videos, how many stills, which products, which formats, which campaigns — and design the day around producing that. It usually means shooting fewer setups more thoroughly, and capturing vertical and horizontal at the same time rather than choosing.
That planning is most of the value. A well-planned day yields months of usable assets across every format you post in. A badly planned one yields a folder everyone is slightly disappointed by and a second invoice.
On the day we handle direction, lighting, sound, and art direction. If your founder is on camera and hates being on camera, that is normal and most of our direction work is making that easier — short takes, clear prompts, and never leaving someone to improvise into a lens.
What you get
Shot list, formats, locations, and schedule built from what your content calendar actually needs, agreed before the day.
Camera, lighting, and audio appropriate to the job, scaled to the shoot rather than defaulting to the biggest package.
Art direction and on-camera direction, including getting usable performance from people who are not performers.
Vertical and horizontal captured together where the setup allows, so one day feeds every platform.
Finished edits and retouched stills, not just a drive of raw files — though you get those too.
Everything shot, handed over. You keep the material you paid to create.
How it runs
We establish what you need to post over the coming months and what you are currently missing.
Shot list, formats, locations, talent, and schedule, planned to cover that need in one day where possible.
Crewed, lit, directed, and monitored. We check coverage against the shot list before wrapping rather than discovering gaps in the edit.
Editing, grading, retouching, and delivery in every format the plan called for.
Who it suits
FAQ
Your space, a studio, or on location. Your own premises are often better for founder content because it looks like your business rather than a rented white room.
It depends entirely on setups and how much changes between them. We give you a realistic estimate during planning, and we would rather promise fewer usable assets and deliver them than quote a number that assumes nothing goes wrong.
Yes, and it is usually better that way — the shoot is planned knowing how it will be cut, which changes what gets captured.
Extremely common. We direct in short takes with clear prompts rather than asking someone to improvise, and we plan formats that work with the amount of on-camera time they can actually sustain.
