Brand presence design

A brand system that holds together across every channel.

Most brands are not short of assets. They are short of a system — so the website, the deck, and the last three months of posts all look like they came from different companies.

Recognition is repetition. It comes from the same type, the same colour relationships, the same spacing and treatment appearing consistently enough that people start associating them with you before they read the name. A logo alone does almost none of that work. The system around it does most of it.

We build that system for where your brand actually appears. For most businesses now that is overwhelmingly a phone screen — social posts, video thumbnails, stories, and a site viewed at 390 pixels wide. A brand that was designed for print and stretched onto social will look thin there, so we design for the small, busy, moving context first and scale up.

The output is practical rather than a large abstract document. Templates you can actually use, defined states rather than one-off decisions, and guidelines short enough that someone will read them. If a guide needs a workshop to explain, it will not survive its first busy week.

What you get

Visual identity system

Type scale, colour system with defined roles, spacing, and the treatments that make the brand recognisable beyond the logo.

Logo and mark application

How the existing mark is used across contexts, sizes, and backgrounds — including the small and awkward placements.

Social templates

Editable templates for the post formats you actually publish, built so filling them in cannot easily break the system.

Motion and video language

Caption styling, transitions, title treatments, and pacing conventions, so edits look like the brand and not like the editor.

Usage guidelines

Short, practical, and written for whoever is making a post at speed rather than for a design review.

Working files

Editable sources handed over so the system can be extended by whoever works on it next.

How it runs

01

Audit

We look at everything you currently publish and find where it diverges. There are usually more variants in circulation than anyone expects.

02

Direction

A small number of distinct directions, shown applied to real formats you use rather than as abstract boards.

03

System build

The chosen direction developed into type, colour, spacing, motion, and templates, tested against the awkward cases before sign-off.

04

Rollout

Guidelines, working files, and a walkthrough so the system is usable by whoever posts day to day.

Who it suits

  • Brands whose social, site, and decks no longer look related
  • Companies that outgrew an identity made quickly at founding
  • Teams where several people post and each one interprets the brand differently
  • Businesses with a decent logo and nothing defined around it

FAQ

Do we need a full rebrand?

Usually not. Most brands have a workable mark and no system around it, which is a much smaller and cheaper project than starting over. We will tell you if we think the mark genuinely is the problem.

Will this work if different people make our posts?

That is the main thing it is for. Templates and defined states mean the output stays consistent regardless of who is producing it that week.

How long does it take?

Typically three to six weeks depending on how many formats and channels need covering, and how quickly directions get reviewed.

Do you provide editable files?

Yes. Working files and templates are handed over, and the system is documented so another designer can pick it up.
